Rexair has manufactured the Rainbow Cleaning System for more than 80 years.

Founded in 1935, Rexair is a leading direct-seller and manufacturer of premium vacuum cleaning systems for residential customers. The company’s principal product, the Rainbow® vacuum cleaner, is the world’s premier home cleaning system and is sold in countries around the globe through a broad network of third-party distributors. The company is headquartered in Troy, Michigan and has a single manufacturing facility located in Cadillac, Michigan.

In 2005, Rhône initially acquired Rexair, through Rhône Fund II, through a carve-out of the company from Jacuzzi Brands, Inc. and sold the company to Jarden Corporation in 2014. Rhône maintained a close relationship with the Rexair management team since selling the company in 2014 and acquired Rexair from Newell Brands Inc. (“Newell”) following Newell’s acquisition of Jarden Corporation in 2016.
