One team, one culture

Founded in 1996 by Robert F. Agostinelli and M. Steven Langman following their successful careers in cross-border mergers and acquisitions with Goldman Sachs and Lazard.

Our vision

We operate with a “one firm” philosophy, uniting our global offices and skill sets into one fluid and cohesive company, culture and approach to find strategic investment opportunities in transatlantic middle-market companies. We specialize in carve-out acquisitions and partnerships with founding families and entrepreneurs.

Our operating model brings together custom-tailored internal and external specialists with our experienced team of investment professionals to work intimately with the Board of Directors and management teams of each portfolio company.

Our core values

An uncompromising determination to achieve excellence in all of our undertakings. Performance at the highest level, consistently and reliably, is key to building loyal investors and partners.

Rigorous ethical conduct and maintenance of professional standards. Our assets are our people, capital and reputation. If any of these is ever diminished that last is the most difficult to restore. We are dedicated to complying fully with the letter and spirit of the laws, rules and ethical principles that govern us. Our continued success depends upon unswerving adherence to this standard.

Partnership defines the standards and the spirit of our relationships with our shareholders, investors, partners, employees and community. Partnership requires us all to be open-minded, creative, responsive and fair and to always align our collective economic interests.

Teamwork in everything we do. While individual creativity is always encouraged, we have found that team effort and attitude produce the best long-term results.

Strict adherence to absolute confidentiality is essential. We regularly receive confidential information as part of our normal, every day business and relationships. To breach this trust of confidence is unthinkable.

Long-term relationships with our investors and partners are key to our success. We are committed to development of and loyalty to our investors and partners through an unfailing dedication to service and responsiveness to those who rely and trust in us.

We recognize that we have a broader community responsibility to maintain standards in our investment decisions whereby we do not aid, abet, or otherwise support nefarious or unethical activities and always act as a responsible investor.

Integrity is at the heart of all we do

Oversight and effective implementation to integrate responsible business practices into our investment decisions is a shared responsibility of the firm and its investment professionals.

Our responsible business practices

Rhône’s success is built on a strong foundation of values that emphasize our dedication to excellence and long-term partnership with investors and stakeholders. We believe that only responsible conduct and an unwavering commitment to integrity will yield the long-term results that we and our investors expect. Our approach to environmental, social, and governance (“ESG”) matters is rooted in the firm’s Core Values and provides a framework for our ethical standards and responsible business practices to which our employees are expected to adhere.

In recognition of our commitment to ESG in our investment and portfolio management decisions, we strive to follow several key principles to identify, mitigate, and manage ESG risks and opportunities relating to our investment activity.
