Biography

Mr. Tigay became a Senior Advisor to Rhône effective as of January 1, 2024 concurrent with his retirement as a Managing Director of the firm. Prior to retiring as a Managing Director, Mr. Tigay served as Chief Investment Officer of Rhône from 2015-2023. Mr. Tigay joined Rhône in 2007 after having spent much of his career working alongside Rhône’s Co-Founders at Lazard. Following his tenure as a mergers & acquisitions advisor at Lazard since 1989, in 1997 he became a founding member of Lazard Capital Partners, a private equity fund managing partner and firm capital, and later a Managing Principal of Lazard’s Corporate Partners LLC private equity fund. Mr. Tigay was also the head of strategic planning for Lazard and played a leadership role in structuring and implementing its IPO.

Mr. Tigay currently serves on the Boards of Directors of ASK Chemicals, Paragon Films and Wellbore Integrity Solutions. Mr. Tigay received a B.A. in Economics, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Member of Phi Beta Kappa and a Benjamin Franklin Scholar.
